Screening of Outbound Shipments to UN Sanctioned Countries

DHL Express has enhanced screening through physical inspection of all shipments to Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan and Crimea (in accordance with Section 4 of the DHL Express Terms and Conditions of Carriage). As you may know, UN Security Council Resolutions and various country laws or regulations (including that of the US, UK and EU) prohibit the transacting of business relating to the shipment of certain commodities to the above-named countries.

Deutsche Post DHL’s business philosophy is to facilitate trade and provide the most comprehensive transportation and logistics services possible to our customers. At the same time we recognize the need to work in full compliance with all laws and regulations which apply to us in each country where we do business.

In this regard, each shipment to these countries will require an accompanying Sanctions Warranty and Indemnity Letter to be signed and provided by your Company and be subjected to a physical screening of its contents to ensure compliance with these prevailing laws and regulations. We regret that this screening may in some situations result in a delay to your shipments.
